I visited the 36th Street crossing today. There is a separate D&S crossing for the pedestrian-bike traffic. The walkers and riders will have to cross both the D&S tracks and 36th Street. It is a dead end street with not a lot of traffic.
For those not that familiar with Durango, 36th street was across 550 from the Pizza Hut (which is now gone).

I hate to see this change as the 36th street crossing was a rural looking spot in the middle of town.
