The 7 flat top cars were the first batch built in the very early 80's and retained the fish bellies. Numbered 5XX. I rode on these cars when I still lived in Alamosa.

The 7 Clerestory cars came later and had the fish belly removed during reconstruction. These cars are numbered 51X I think the fish bellies are still stacked in Antonito.
The earliest Picture I have of these is dated 1988 and Were taking during the Indiana Jones filming. I think they were built the year before.

The other Clerestory cars have been built from cut down Standard gauge box and stock frames.
