Don't let Doris' C&S be forgotten....

January 22, 2004 07:26AM
I hope someone forwards these heartfelt comments regarding Doris' C&S book in a constructive manner to the appropriate folks at the D&SNGRR offices for review. Surely there is "room" for both Royem's and Osterwald's publications in the company's inventory and that something can be worked out between Doris and the RR. It seems contradictory that at a time when the RR is making efforts to reach out to more railfans with Railfair and the like that they would eliminate a railfan favorite like Doris' book from the on-site concession inventory.
Doris,
As an aside, do you have any plans for another edition and if so, could a roster list of non-revenue cars, i.e. old freight cars, be included? I, and I am sure others, would be interested in such info. That alone would be enough to get me to buy yet another edition of Cinders and Smoke!
