I am currently restoring a 1967 Type I - Bringing it back to exact 67 Specs - including NOS Dealer License Plate Frames where it was originally purchased in June of 67
Its gonna be sweet. I spent the better part of two years gathering all the One-Year-Only 67 parts, including:
67 Generator
67 Fan House Shroud
Correct 67 Seats for my Pan Number (VIN)
67 Distributor
67 Fuel Pump
67 Carburetor
67 Coil (Chocolate Bakelite Top)
67 Correct Sapphire V radio
I even found 67 Correct 1500 cc Piston / Cylinders.
Case built out - Seats restored
Next big task is to completely strip the body and separate it from the Pan
