Crying shame they couldn't haul it on the C&TS a portion of the way!
In 2004, the White House Christmas tree came from less than 2 miles from my front door (two years before and 1999, it came from just down the road a few miles). Needless to say, everyone here made a fuss about it, though I never saw the trees along the route.
