Folks,
Let us not forget the old Edaville Railroad at Carver, Massachusetts. It is now Thomas Land; but they have two steam locos: Edaville #10, an H.K. Porter rebuilt by Boothbay Railway Shops and given a new tender. Their other locomotive is one of the Colonial Sugar 0-6-0s. There are at least three of them in the USA.

There may also be a couple of more in storage at the tourist railroads around and about. I agree that J. David Conrad's books are first rate. He is now retired from the Essex Railroad and working on a new edition of his books. I am sure there have been lots of movements and restorations to report.
