Set up your own machine shop. Make your own patterns or computer discs for castings. Become self sufficient. Travel to the WW&F in Maine to see their shops. There are other two foot shops nearby (one in walking distance). They are working wonders making their own parts. I, along with two other volunteers have made patterns for the future #11 and many other projects.

I have been involved with several preservation or tourist lines and when something was needed, you made it. I spent the last 1 1/2 years in my spare time making patterns for CNJ 113's clamshell fire doors. We just had them cast at the Cattail Foundry and they are now waiting to be machined and fitted by another volunteer.
