Left and Right

Hi, Bill:
I would guess that the cars are not really symetrical regarding the location of the "B" end.
As we discussed some time ago, the cars not only have a left and right side, each journal is numbered as well. I think I recall that if you stand at the "B" end, the left side is the left side, the right side is the right side and the journal numbers go left to right, beginning with the closest axle.
Cars with brake wheels on both ends require that you look at the brake cylinder. I "points" to the "B" end.
I think that's right. But I don't know if that is relevant to what you see in the pictures to which you refer.
If I am off track, I'm sure Woody or Earl or Coke or someone will set me straight.
