Looks like all the hardware is there which is a good start. It appears all will be major rebuilds of the sidewall quarter panels with new headers and roof. We had to do this for SPNG #130 which appeared to be in better condition than these cars. One side of our car was against boxcar #51 in the Alabama Hills and was protected from the weather somewhat. Never the less, we had to remove the entire roof and replace the headers on each side which was a major job. A lot of dry rot removal and treatment of the lower lateral seals was also needed but they proved still serviceable otherwise the whole upper structure would have had to be removed. Better wrap them in chicken wire before you move them because they might shake apart. We used a heavy canvas type cover to keep our roof on during transport. John Christensen
