Your third shot reminded me of the brakeman photo, and your spectacular lighting inspired me to dig out my original and run it through
PhotoShop for a little enhancement, as the version I posted 11 years ago – cropped and optimized (sort of) using MicroGrafx
Picture Publisher – looked kinda blah by comparison (see second shot on [
ngdiscussion.net]). IIRC, the new version was given a 70% dose of 'Adjust Smart Fix' in P.S. Elements 10, 'Levels' was used to get the stock car pure dark gray, and then a 40% dose of 'Cloud Contrast' was applied to the sky to turn it a bit from azure blue toward cobalt blue (but NOT indigo
. . . ) and to bring out the clouds and the Sangre de Christo mountains in the background.
