My slip Earl, I meant 0505. I model our local South Australian Railways 3'6" in H0n3 but have developed a real love for the Colorado narrow gauge so a little of that has to be modelled, if only for static display but I keep thinking about a small display layout. The Rio Grande is certainly a favourite, but I love the geese so I have picked up a sweet running ConCor model (which is a superb runner), so by default I think I shall model some RGS, a loco, caboose and just a few wagons. Got this kit and a stock car kit off Ebay for a pretty good price, so I have decided to be a little different with the caboose and turn it into 0404, that might all change with a loco purchase though!
As per other suggestions, I could have gone with an MRJ or E&B Valley kit or mortgage the house and buy a Blackstone, but as primarily static models they are just too much money, the LaBelle came at a song, even with postage to Oz. Looking forward to building the kit, I love working with these timber models.
I gather from your comment Earl that the RGS 0404 is physically smaller than DRG&W 0505? I found an online drawing of 0404 but haven't found anything for 0505 to compare.
