Thanks Earl.
I wrote that article. I presented the dissolved possibility if local brick (Hooper Brick) was used as it was not a fired brick but a sun cured brick. Hooper Brick was used in the construction of the earlier Brick Section House and Ticket Office. The late construction of the depot may have put it into the "Fired Brick" category, if that is the case, there is a fairly good chance that it is still there.
To elaborate on Jerry's (jalbers) reply. Yes, the rail around the depot was never removed. Spring Street had been graded over the right of way by the time that the rail was pulled up in 1930 and the railroad just left the rail in there rather than tearing up the street to get across it to get the rail.
When they were pouring a sidewalk next to Spring Street back in 1970, The heel block for the three way stub turnout was exposed and it still held the rail in it. The photo that I took of it has been "severely misplaced" over the years.
