Years ago, Durango-visiting tourists, me, and local folks bought things, rode the D&S, ate and drank contentedly, obeyed laws, respected each other.
Then, like weeds, the homeless appeared.
Anti-sidewalk sleeping laws popped up.
I can bet the sight of them, their undoubted panhandling and begging upset, threatened and angered most people, no doubt the business community.
Wonder if theft, vandalism went up, maybe somebody wandered in front of a train?>
