The move went flawlessly.. #463 shoved the plow to Cumbres, turned it on the wye and hauled it to Osier. It arrived there about 40 minutes ahead of the regular trains. After the regular trains departed the rotary work extra headed east. It went through the tunnels for the first time since the early 1970's. Although the clearance was close in "mud tunnel" which has seen significant work since 1970 no paint was left in the tunnel. An air hose was replaced near "Phantom curve" allowing an unplanned photo opportunity. Everything arrived Antonito in good order before 6:00PM.
The FOCTS will make carpentry repairs and the C&TS mechanical forces will make mechanical adjustments in preparation for operation next Feb. 29 and Mar.1.
