Animas higher than last week & stronger waterfalls; train 45 minutes lated due to slow orders. The concern is not so much on the Animas but the side drainages. Tank Creek in particular seemed very high splashing water against the side of the cars.
Its been a long winter for Silverton...apparently the rhubarb festival is on the verge cancelling or at least postponed.
Obviously a lot of melt but the northern sides of mountains are still solid white. Still no attempt to get to Animas Forks. On the other side Lake City is very concerned about flooding so removal of snow on back roads is a low priority.
