I saw some comments on another site, with no schedule posted to the WMS site according to them. My initial reaction is to wait until something runs, before planning anything. I had thought that if they scheduled for July, then perhaps I would consider October. Now if you are saying September, then perhaps October would work, but I think 2020 is a safer bet. Even for me here in Ohio its an 8-10 hour drive. For those who have not been there, it is only about a 10 mile line, with limited access, so if you are photographing you get 1-2 shots per run. Also remember if you are riding or photographing, the engine cannot be turned at Frostburg, and a diesel will be on the rear going to Frostburg, so it can pull back to Cumberland. If you want a shot on the grade to Frostburg you pretty much have to pick one. Also be advised there is a bike path and fence along much of the north side of the railroad.
This was not in place when I was there last in 1995. At least the engine should be working from Cumberland to Frostburg. I hope they make it this year, but not counting on anything, just to be safe.
