I'm not a Steam man but it may be a Snifter valve or drifting valve? Earl should know.
BTW don't tell Russo about that Green Boiler paintjob
, it looks pretty slick in better light.
This Special ran by my Village a couple of weekends ago, while I was running my Mine Motor out in the plantation, heard the whistle blow, thought it was odd to be hearing that while tramming a load of clay on a battery-electric. Second month in a row we have had steam going past.
