Re: K-36 Celebration

The book will be approximately 200 pages, with over 300 photos, maps, track folios, drawings and diagrams. Will include a 3 page fold out drawing (both sides) by Mike McKenzie. Will include the D&RGW//Baldwin specs as an appendix. First chapter will be the history of the D&RGW purchase of the K-36s with all the changes made to the lines to accommodate them. Second chapter will be the operational history including all the lines they operated on. Will have photos of the K-36s on every line except the Chili Line and Orient branch (have never been able to find photos of the 36s on those two. Will include history of K-36 snow fighting operations, Santa Claus trains, special passenger runs, wrecks, movie trains, modifications, and changes, etc. Will have a section on the K-36s on the C&TS and D&S.

Yes it will have a lot on the Third Division and I believe a lot of it has never been published anywhere before.
