Undeterred by a stormy day on May 9, James Parfrey and I made another hiking excursion to the upper Animas Canyon today, May 10. There was no lack of precipitation and near freezing temperatures, but of course 480 put on another great show.
After a long cold wait (the train was about 40 minutes behind schedule) we were rewarded with 480 and an 11 car train entering the narrows with Cataract Falls in the background
