Started doing the research on the K-36 in 1973, was in the Air Force and spent four years in Germany, then had a job that required a ton of travel, then a very sick wife to care for 8 years, I worked on the book and other projects when I could find time. Now that the K-36 is done, will take a break and then start the K-28 project. Will do magazine articles on the Koppers Tie Plant at Salida, the rebuilding of 168 and 493. I am retired so now have the time.
