What will make the difference is the weather for the next few weeks. If it is clear and sunny with afternoon winds. It will melt amazingly fast. But if you have cloudy skies and small weather disturbances coming through dropping a few inches of new snow here and there, the snow will stay around for a while. 6 1/2 feet at the marker is quite a bit, but there are lots of places where the snow will be much deeper.

25 years ago, the OY would be the shop getting a good looking over by now. We always tried to get the RR open by the first weekend in May, which meant an April 20th date for making a commitment as it took about 2 weeks to get OY and 2-3 engines ready to go.
