Hi Russo Loco, thank you for your post with the link to Ernie's photos of the "Mad Dash". So I went thru all of Ernie's and John West's posted photos, and then went thru the 84 photos that you scanned from my negatives. Again, I owe you a huge thanks for your outstanding effort. Right now I'm still preparing to post the two preceding freight runs, and maybe backtrack to the 50's and early 60s before tackling the "Mad Dash". Comparing my photos with Ernie's, it is amazing how different they turned out to be, although we traveled together. Different people do have different perspectives on the same events. Of course one significant factor was that I did not then own a telephoto or zoom lens and many of my photos tend to be broader in perspective, so I don't have some of those amazing telephoto shots Ernie took from our ridge top viewpoint between Big Horn and Sublette, but then I have shots in the Monero area where Ernie had to stop and change film. I will plan to post not all, but some shots, particularly where they are quite different from others that have been posted, assuming there remains interest on the NGDF.
