For a number of years Ernie had his drawing of 493 on his letter head, then in the fall of 1969 he changed it to 497. With 497 becoming his favorite engine, I can see why he built a model of that particular engine, and changed his letter head to match. I'm attaching two letters with the different formats for comparison. Certainly making drawings and maps was big on his list of talents.
