After four years and three months worth of work, we have successfully converted a solid piece of rust back into a functioning steam locomotive. J&L 58 ran for the first time today, the first of many more. The saddle tank is not yet ready to put back on so we ran with a tote tank on a flatcar supplying water.

We still have much work before our May 11 public debut, but at least a major hurdle is out of our way!
