We have been very sucessful in recruiting younger people into our mechanical department as shown in this group photo taken last month. Finding younger people with useful skills has been getting to be quite a challenge. (Or machinists of any age with useful skills for that matter.)
When I started, I was the sixth person of the then "full crew" of the mechanical dept. In 2018, only 25% of our mechanical dept. hours went to work on our own equipment.
