Re: James Parfrey, hiking out rare photo/video locations in the Silverton area in May is great idea.

Many great photos have been taken on the narrow gauge, but the well of unique, undocumented photo locations is far from dry. Here are just a few off-the-beaten-path scenes on Cumbres & Toltec that might give a somewhat different perspective on a familiar railroad.

The westbound train exiting Toltec Gorge. The Gorge is the scenic highlight of the CTS - but elusive when it comes to being photographed

Gravity Hill is a favorite location. Here 484 has started the descent of Gravity Hill and is next turning the famous gravity Hill curve, in a direction rarely photographed
