Re:Is that a coupler on the Speed Swing?

On the second image from the bottom on the rear of the Speed Swing there is what looks like to me a coupler. Is that what that is? Does the D&S tow the Speed Swing or is the coupler used to move a car out of the way if necessary?

Interesting machine.
