Kevin,
The engineer was raising and lowering the flanger wing as soon as we crossed the 15th Street Bridge over the Animas. They did it all day so I can confirm the flanger was being a flanger. In the batch of photos I just posted, look at the 4th and 5th photos. In the 4th photo the flanger is down as we were plowing in the valley north of town. In the 5th photo we are crossing the Hermosa Creek bridge and it is up.
I know some do not do Facebook, but for those who do, I have posted three videos on my Facebook page, the Rio Grande Modeling & Historical Society page, the Narrow Gauge Forum page, and it will be on the Rocky Mountain RR Club page and the D&S will post it soon. The video clearly showed the flanger being raises and lowered. The D&S posted my video from last week and it has been viewed over 180,000 times.
