Just looking at an article on Wikipedia, it sounds like Abt is more prone to wearing out faster. I would guess they are going to try and get the longest life out of the rack as possible?
I had a discussion with my engineer at work the other day on the rebuild of the cog, wondering where some of the materials are going to come from. Obviously the rolling stock (and rack rail) will come from Europe, but what about the running rail? Will they use off the shelf rail from EVRAZ in Pueblo? Can they make smaller-lb rail there that fits?
