Thanks for the comments about the C&S.
I just looked at the N-C-O roster information obtained from the accounting records at California RR Museum. For the cars on hand when the time of the gauge conversion, only N-C-O built stock cars have a 1912 or 1913 date. These were built in Reno. One person said the hardware was purchased from AC&F; this might have been stated from studying the ex- N-C-O car at Orange Empire.
Maybe more research is needed on both needs.
