I'm sorry to hear of Frank's passing. To add a few comment's to Rich's post, Frank had a long career at Hulett Packard and told me about the company being an early adopter of quality improvement processes. It was clear that quality was something he wanted to imbed in the docent program. But he knew from his Hewlett Packard experience that to start, he needed a couple strong people that shared his vision and he found them in Chuck Heroneme and Rich Muth.
I recall there was considerable resistance from some folks within the Friends to the changes Frank was making. Some volunteers were upset by the waves he made, and some left the program. But Frank was prepared for this and with the support from Rich and Chuck, he stayed the course. And that's how quality happens. Good on you, Frank.
