Built in 1883, the D&RG depot had the disadvantage of a raised freight platform, being set back six feet from the tracks, due to snow build-up that would accrue in the winters. Passenger service was replaced in 1933 by bus service. The depot had a $600,000.00 rehab done to it 2016.
The CB Water Tank, was located on the north side of the track. The tank was 20 feet wide and 14 feet deep, and the under frame was tailored to the particular location so the supply pipe was located 13 feet above the top of the rail. In 1977, kids playing with matches caught the tank on fire, but the tank was not disassembled July 19th, 1993 for restoration, but due to poor storage, was lost.
