Re: NCNG Engine #5 (aka Tahoe)

Just and update on Engine #5. We are fitting the cab to the new boiler since the wagon top of this boiler sits about two and a half inches higher than the original. Just making sure everything lines up before the boiler goes over to Sierra Metal Fabricators where the new dry pipe will be made and fitted to the boiler. We are also having many new studs and brackets being welded (R rated) to the boiler so positioning of the cab was critical. The front section will be rebuilt and many holes plugged up from what we believe were for the Studios lighting brackets while being used in the many movies that Engine 5 appeared in. John Christensen
