Apparently you were standing in the footsteps of the greats.
just as soon as your pictures opened I immediately thought of Bob Richardson's
evocative shot at that same place, ironically an identical consist shot by Dick Kindig half an engine length further back in the very same place. The Kindig shot was in the
Requiem for the Narrow Gauge book: Dorman printed Bob's photo in his
Durango:Always a RR Town.
In any book, your pictures and theirs, are certainly a most evocative capture of that landscape and portrays the narrow gauge in a lonely land.
