I don't think 476 could handle that train. In the 1960's-70's a K28 could muscle 12 cars to Silverton, but mostly ran 11 car trains. When the vestibule cars and concession cars got rebuilt with steel sides in 1978, they cut the train down to 10 cars as the added steel made them even heavier. Nowadays there is even more steel under the passenger fleet, plus heating systems, etc. I think K28's are limited to 9 cars. It looked like 481 hand enough to deal with pulling that 12 car train, including a boat anchor in the form of car B-2 on the rear.
