Actually, the WW&F Forestry Department reached Alna Center Station site in the spring of 2000 or 2001 (I forget which year). Since then, the lumberjacks have continued north and now the cleared right-of-way extends about a third of mile north of the station. We plan to continue this winter.
Sometime next year (probably in the spring) the station will be built. It will be a replica of the old station, of course. Sheepscot and Alna Center, both flag stops, were originally built with the same plans.
