I'm a railroad artist who has been asked to do a calendar for the Miner Enterprise Company. Miner makes railroad equipment and have been doing an annual calendar for around 70 years. Howard Fogg did their calendar for a number of years. They contacted me yesterday and would like a sketch proposal by Novemeber 10, which doesn't give me much time. What they'd like me to do is to depict a narrow gauge locomotive along side a standard gauge train to show the comparison of size of the two gauges. They want this to be historically accurate, so it would have to be a location where this actually happened. Another suggestion they made was a narrow gauge train loading it's cargo into a standard gauge train, or a roundhouse where there would have been standard and narrow gauge locomotives together. Does anyone have a suggestion as to a location where this occurred. And more importantly, does anyone have any photos that would show any of these? Any information or photos would be greatly appreciated.
