I remember talking with Mr. Tallman the spring after he started with Colorado Railroad Museum. The museum was hosting a mid-year Assoc of Railway Museums meeting. I arrived a day early and had the opportunity to talk with Donald.

One thing I recall from the conversation was that he came from other types of non-profits and was new to railway museums. He spoke of being infected by the enthusiasm of the member-volunteers. He seemed enthused with the mission and work of the museum.

I wish him well in retirement. I wish CRRM success in its search and selection process for a new Executive Director.
