There were a number of Boarding Houses operating during that time, so no shortage of accomodation for those willing or able to pay.
A few months ago the relatives of one of the early Doctors came by and they c1890 were living in the Tenement Building during their time in Como. My impression was that the building was permanently occupied initially, may have become more a doss house as people moved on or moved into their own houses in Town.
Somebody posted a photo of the Tenement on fire, difficult to date, have not come across any mention of a fire other than this. Roundhouse was at its full extent but then we get into the question of when was the Roundhouse reduced in size, seems a lot later than I originally thought. Sometime in the 1920's.
There was at least one occupant in the 30's, that is mentioned in a few places, Marinelli, Section Crew. He was at the westend, the rest seems abandoned. The walls were demolished very soon after the line was abandoned, reason unknown.
