Yes, but, I don't know any particulars. The Friends have been investigating the pipeline down to the pump house, but have hit several roadblocks, and, the tank itself will hold water with it's plastic liner, but, I don't know what will be done to the exterior. I -think- the roof of the tank is in pretty rough shape.

Lava tank will be a necessary water stop for the #168 when she rolls. It is sometimes used for the #315, and even the #463, if they do a lot of run-bys. Currently, they leave a tank car on the Lava siding, but this is time consuming, and un-photogenic for photo freights.. They might fill the Lava tank with tank cars, when needed. There are several approaches being considered. AFAIK, we still have water rights, and, if we can get the pipeline to work, we have pumps capable of filling the tank. The tank is a 1-1/4 miles from the pumphouse, and 300+ feet higher.
