Me neither. They wouldn't take me - guess they were afraid my limp would mess up the close order drill. That's what my dad (Maj. USAAF, USAF) said, anyway.

And, by all accounts, had the Party To End All Parties. Do the huge, world-wide street parties of 11/11/1918 count as the world's first Flash Mob?
Not to mention the ones in No-Mans-Land, Mom's Uncle Matt said they were wild. (This was the man who still had dirty French postcards he's gotten in Paris in 1917, pulled them out of his wallet to show me in 1975) My Grandpa Hattery was still in hospital at the time, gas and then flu.
