Actually, (refusing to set aside the question of the reservation system) any decent reservation system that can be 'tailored' should do the job. In point of fact, I have one that works, has been in production at a major institution for over a year, will reserve anything from seats at a table, tables at a grand ball or dinner, and just about any other situation, including various cars and bus seats on a 64-mile railroad. I offered to help with this mess, but what the hell would I know? The simple fact of the matter is that the software does not work, the staff was poorly trained, and the perpetrator of the disaster is nowhere in sight.
To answer your question, both Howard and I were on the Chama train. I was basically "learning the ropes" of how Howard does it. Another fellow who hands out his "wanted" posters was on the Antonito train.
