I think it would be reasonable to assume that either would have been on the RGS in the mid to late 40s til '51.

If I'm not mistaken, 453 was the Durango yard switcher from about 1950 on, and 463 was shopped in '49, and seems frequently pictured on the Silverton after that.

After just thumbing through an RGS book, 452, 462, and 464 seem more commonly pictured on the RGS than either 453 or 463. 453 and 463 would have been more likely based out of Durango.

What cab is on your 455? She wore the original til the big derailment in'43, and had a retrofitted one from '47 on. That might be a bigger thing to make fit a time frame than 453 vs 463.
