I left home this morning before 6 am and drove down to the MSP country while the weather is still agreeable. My goal was to hike up the big incline on Speckerman Mountain. This was used in 1924 and had a logging camp located at the top of the mountain. Here's the view from the road of the bottom of the incline:
There are still artifacts to be found. Someone apparently found a pulley at the bottom of the incline very recently (since I was there 3 weeks ago...)

It was a chilly 45 degrees when I started and I forgot my jacket. Good thing it was a workout going uphill...
I didn't find many artifacts towards the bottom of the incline, but was hopeful there'd be more further up as it doesn't seem like any roads are near the top of the incline.
