Thanks for the compliment. 315 performed flawlessly again. The crew worked really hard to assure that all went well for her part. Having the mechanical issues with 453 did put a crimp in the daily plans, but the C&TS crews stepped up and did a grand job of saving the day.
A really BIG round of applause should be given to the behind the scene maintenance shop crews. Those guys were really thrashing before sunup, to do everything possible to get 453 roadable. They then got the backup engine up and about and saved the day, while no one else even knew. Thanks guys.
The 425 back dating is a conversion that the 315 Steam Program has set up to be a re-curing project. So the chartering people will have an option of the time period they would like the engine to operate in, and still be historicaly correct.
