Hats off to the Georgetown Loop crew. Badger, Phil Johnson, Will Gant & Mike Ramsey. who was adding fuel to the fire. (and others) Not easy to arrange runbys with and without the regular scheduled train. If you missed it, the weather was perfect.The price was really a bargain. You had your own Shay powered train all day with numerous runbys, a BBQ box lunch and unlimited snacks. The RMRRC did a great job. (Steve Mason, Dave Schaaf, Debbie MacDonald and the rest of the RMRRC crew.) An outstanding excursion at a great price. Even Russo would have liked it.
The Shay at speed reminded me of a Chevy V/8 with solid lifters that needed the valves adjusted.
