I got to agree with you. Our visit to the C&TS with you was truly a spectacular event. I have only great memories of that trip. I hope we get to do it again one of these days soon !
I know John Bush and his team are getting the 168 back in service, along with some period cars. You may know that I have been building a replica of one of the Billmeyer & Smalls cars that Eureka used to pull back in the day. When I can get a clear view of the combine free from lifts and all sorts of other equipment cluttering up the view, I will post some pictures of a very Victorian passenger car of the 1870s. It is quite a contrast to the ones being restored on the CA&TS. Imagine having locomotives representing the 1870s, and 1890s along with cars to those periods.
It makes my head spin just thinking of the possibilities.
