Sublette is my favorite place on the railroad. Always thought it would be really cool if the railroad/Friends fixed up the section house with accommodations and rented it by the week. It would be a great base camp for hiking and, of course, train watching. The train could supply food/ice. D&S used to have a boxcar, outfitted like a camping vehicle. They rented it by the week, and took it up to Cascade where they parked it on the tail of the wye, right next to the river. It was a great time
