Not everyday on the narrow gauge was hammering up the 4% with the throttle wide open, gear in the company notch and safeties about to open up. Some days were like last Thursday. A rain storm in the making, cows on the track, A whistle is heard in the Los Pinos valley and the afternoon train makes it steady climb to the pass. I picked a spot above Tanglefoot curve, rested my back against a tree and gulped in the silence, broken only by birds and insects......then listened.....play this in quiet place. It only takes 16 minutes. Tom
