You bet. If the D&S was totally shuttered this year (assuming that they did even start the fire, I have my doubts) I'm sure that same fire would have ignited at some point during the summer from any one of a hundred causes. It was just that ready to go.

Look at the dozens of major wild fires burning in the west this summer (sixty-something I think the news said). Somehow, every single one of them (except possibly one) were able to start without the help of a steam locomotive.
